In doing this work with Knotty Things, I’ve slowly been able to see the things in me that have been holding me back. The dark nooks and crannies of the brain that I’ve been covering up or pushing down were places from which I was operating: fear, anger, unworthiness.
People pleasing became an automatic response to protect the self from further abandonment, but it caused me anxiety and ultimately pushed others away.
Learning to apply some of the things we talked about to lay some traction is gradually helping me to realize who I am and who I want to be.
It’s been an uncomfortable process of humility and discovery. Even in my darkest moments alone in my own head, the process has been worth the investment.

Lori performed a Distant Reiki Attunement on a normal day that ended a little stressfully.
After the Attunement, I noticed that I was more relaxed and less stressed.
I also realized that change is inevitable and that I needed to grow from it instead of resisting it.

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect, or if I would even notice anything. But I meditated at the time of the healing, and I noticed that my meditation was noticeably deeper and more centered.
