About Knotty Things

Knotty Things stands on the belief that solutions to our problems exist. I am a testament to the reality of Romans 12:2, a Bible verse that provides essential instruction for healing.

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will."

Knotty Things believes our purpose is to make mistakes to be corrected. The reverse side of a tapestry is knotty. When complete, the other side presents a beautiful image.

My younger years completely complement who I am now. Without those bumps and wild turns, I would be a different person. It took my early life to give me the courage to face myself, which is what Romans 12:2 is about.

Each of us has a purpose. It is up to us to clear away the brambles. The brambles are the tangles of erroneous information about our self, others, and our environment that we have stored in our brains blocking forgotten information. Romans 12:2 leads to Jeremiah 29:11.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

I help YOU locate threads in your head that lead to circumvented issues and blocked energy. The actual healing is up to YOU as the verse instructs.

“Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

Knotty Things believes we choose the “circumstances” of our lives and are given the opportunity to make our own Choices. There came a point when I finally said, “What can I DO?” That was my first solid step toward healing; helping myself by questioning myself. And,

God helps those that help themselves.

Take an inventory of the material stored in your brain. Re-evaluate your ‘ways’ as the verse instructs.

The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
“Prepare the way of the Lord;
Make straight in the desert
A highway for our God.
Every valley shall be exalted
And every mountain and hill brought low;
The crooked places shall be made
straight
And the rough places smooth;
The glory of the Lord shall be revealed,
And all flesh shall see it together;
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

To me, the "wilderness" and "desert" imply a lost, dry or barren state. This is how I felt 25 years ago. The “highway” travels around the traffic in my brain allowing me to see the block that first created the traffic. The “mountains” and “hills” are unresolved “situational” problems that I have been able to navigate more smoothly. And the “crooked places made straight” are the pathways in my brain that were off course due to choices that, throughout my life, spawned erroneous opinions, sentiments, and beliefs.

Knotty Things assists with self-correction, an essential upgrade for today.
